How to review and implement your website SEO

The practice of optimizing your website’s content for search engines is known as SEO. This is a crucial component of digital marketing and can generate more high-quality leads for your company. The “organic” top position on page one of Google cannot be purchased, unlike paid Google advertising. Yes, sponsored advertisements may sometimes appear above organic results, but having an organic page one ranking provides your business provides far more credibility and will be seen by searchers as a listing of high quality. SEO’s objective is to improve your organic ranking. Effective SEO makes your website more visible and guarantees that people will contact you first.

  1. Where do you Rank? Enter the search terms you would use to find yourself on Google. Make use of words to describe your goods and services. You can do this and request that your friends follow suit. When the results appear, tally how many Google listings are in front of you. Make sure your target audience would utilize a variety of terms when you do this, and then keep a record of the outcomes. Do you appear on page 1?
  2. Audit your current keywords: But how can you tell which search terms your current website is ranking for? Use the following link to quickly find out: navigate to https://neilpatel.com/ubersuggest/, enter your URL, select your country, and then click search. This tool will provide all of the keywords that your website ranks for along with their typical Google ranking position. Are the same words and phrases showing up as in step 1? If not, you’ll need to reconsider the keywords and phrases you wish to use on your website.
  3. Make a List: Make a list of the keywords you wish your website to rank for. Group them by category using long and short tail keywords. (check out my blog post on search intent to find out more about categorizing your search terms)
  4. Implement your keywords: Now that you have a good idea of your key words and phrases, you need to include these in your website content. However, there are good and bad approaches to this. The SEO will suffer and your score on Google will decline if you stuff every keyword you can think of into your posts. Your keywords should be simple to read and flow with your text. Include your string keyword or phrase throughout your page title, headings, descriptions, and the content itself in order to rank effectively on Google. Therefore, be careful to follow this rule without making the content harder to read.
  5. Re-index: once you implemented your keywords on your website, the next step is to go to Google search console and re-index your website.
  6. Analyze: Give Google 24-48 hours after you finish adding your new keywords to your website for it to reference it.
  7. Repeat: A good SEO campaign never ends. Your specific industry changes as the rest of the world does. Even Google frequently modifies the order in which it ranks websites. As a result, you must repeat this procedure frequently to stay current and maintain a high rating.
